On Behalf of | May 27, 2020 | Firm News

AlpernSchubert P.C. is excited to announce that attorney, Richard J. Schubert, has been selected to this year’s 2020 Super Lawyers list. Richard was previously selected to Super Lawyers in 2005 to 2006, as well as each consecutive year since 2008. In 2018, Richard was also selected to the Top 50: 2018 Pittsburgh Super Lawyers list. The Super Lawyers selection process consists of a multi-phase process, which includes peer recognition, professional achievements, and independent research. Over the years, Richard has achieved numerous awards and honors, and has advocated for those in need of proper representation. Richard’s devotion and experience has made him an essential partner at our law firm.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Richard gained a vast knowledge from experienced trial court lawyers who handled Workers’ Compensation cases. He graduated from Duquesne University School of Law and started to practice. After dedicating many years as a managing partner at a personal injury law firm, he was inspired to create his own firm. In 2006, Richard J. Schubert and Charles H. Alpern established AlpernSchubert P.C.

Since the start of his career, Richard has advocated for victims injured due to negligence and has been trying cases in both federal and state courts. He understands how injuries greatly impact victims’ lives and strives to gain maximum compensation for their injuries. Richard handles many different cases, including car accidents, medical negligence, slip and fall accidents, defective products cases, and other personal injury cases. Richard also handles numerous Workers’ Compensation cases and has experience with helping clients who have suffered from disabilities. Work injuries often involve companies and individuals, and Richard has the compassion and comprehension in both areas, which allows him to further enhance claims for victims.

He was certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which is a prestigious certification that is awarded to select few for their extensive trial court experience. He was recertified in 2004, 2009, and 2014, and is extremely proud of these achievements. Richard’s negotiation and litigation knowledge has made him a successful attorney over the years, and he has obtained over $1 million in verdicts and settlements.

Additionally, Richard has been serving on the Pennsylvania Association for Justice Board of Governors for the last three decades and served as president in 2003 and 2004. Since 1993, he has been a Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association Board Member. His dedication, experience, and hard work led him to become a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers, and he has also served on the Board of Governors. This is honor for any lawyer. The Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers consists of only 250 trial practitioners and those who are members have been nominated and approved.
